Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled on umer.pixeledgesolution.com (the "site"). In short: the site has no analytics, advertising or tracking. Personal data is collected only when you choose to send a message, and it is used only to reply to you.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Umer Farooq, an independent software engineer based in Lahore, Pakistan, who also runs Pixel Edge Solutions. Contact for anything in this policy: umer.farooq@pixeledgesolution.com.

The site does not use analytics, advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and it does not sell or share your data for marketing.
Who receives it
- Namecheap: hosts the site and the email account that receives your message.
- Cloudflare: runs the Turnstile security check on the chat form.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message on WhatsApp; their own privacy policy then applies.
- Your browser's voice service: the assistant's spoken greeting uses your browser's built-in speech. Some voices (for example Google voices in Chrome) are generated on the provider's servers. Only the assistant's fixed phrases are spoken, never anything you type.
Data may also be disclosed where the law requires it.
International transfers
Umer Farooq works from Pakistan, and the hosting and security providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where data leaves the UK or EU, it is protected by the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards, and is used only for the purposes above.
How long it is kept
- Messages: for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together, in which case for as long as the work and any legal record-keeping requires.
- Rate-limit records: only the last 10 minutes are ever used; older entries are dropped the next time the record is updated. The record holds a one-way hash, never your actual IP address.
- Server logs: kept by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own policy.
- Browser preferences: until you clear them or change your choice in cookie settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU data protection law), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew). Email umer.farooq@pixeledgesolution.com; you'll get a reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU authority.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. The contact form is protected by a security check, a spam trap and a rate limit, and messages are delivered to a private mailbox.
Children
The site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not aimed at children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated, and for significant changes the cookie banner will ask for your choice again.
